There is no Thursday September 16th this year. It is far more likely that Bones will start on Sky One in the new year!

    Lost (pt2) – Sky One February 11th 10pm Sunday
    source?
that's pretty quick considering lost in the state is only starting back sometime in february. so either sky one must be getting the episodes that air on the wednesday in the states and airing them on the sunday.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 150 ✭✭ScruffySlayer

they did it with Buffy and Angel back when they were a few days behind the finale episodes so they could do it again I suppose.

when it returns in the states Sky will be showing Lost within a week of its US showing. i'd assume RTÉ will be doing the same

Sky will also be showing 24 within a week of it's US airing

    Brilliant.

I watched the pilot of Standoff last night, looks alright. I will tune in again.

Watched the first 3 of 'Standoff'.. and thought it was horrible!

Shame as i'll watch anything with Ron Livingston (except 'Sex & The City'... ** shudder **).. one of my favourite under-rated comedy actors.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 291 ✭✭pokerwidow

Was he in Band of Brothers? If it is the same guy he was brilliant in it, loved that series.

It wasn't that bad, maybe it gets worse then :( .

The first episode was probably the best of them!

And yes, he was in 'Band Of Brothers'

I could only watch until the first ad break of Standoff on sky one. since fox like to cancel shows, by all means cancel Standoff. Utter garbage.

Desperate Housewives is back on Channel 4 on Wednesday 3rd of January at 10PM with a 2 hour episode. RTE will probably do the same except put it on Tuesday.

BTW, did anybody watch Jericho last week on TV3?

Killaqueen just started a thread about dh.

I missed the first few mins of Jericho. The son was leaving and the mother put money in his pocket. The rest was quite good. We should be able to read the first page of the US thread.

I've watched the first few episodes, I'm enjoying it so far. Though I know others who have watched the series and most either go on to love it or hate it, there's very mixed views on this show.

Shouldn't have been on Fox.. i am however absolutely loving Criminal Minds. Currently finishing the first season but it really is fantastic stuff.

Just started "Criminal Minds" as well - reminds me a lot of "Profiler" with a more cantankerous lead instead of Sam. I know from the first two episodes that it's one I shouldn't have missed and all the feedback seeems to suggest it's going to get even better.

However, can't say I'm sad to see "Justice" gone - didn't like it a bit...

Held off from being aired on Irish / UK TV due to the recent killings in Britain.

And the answer is.. well, someone wondered if it would be in the Dexter thread a while back and other than that, there's absolutely no evidence of it being held back.

I thought the blade series got canned after the first season because it was so bad?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,136 ✭✭✭✭is_that_so

The trouble with Justice is that it represents all the misgivings people have about US lawyers especially the cynical Victor Gerber character. I don't think it will be missed.

Criminal Minds is even better in season 2. And yes the season 1 finale is very good especially where
    ............

Both CSI and CSI:NY are also good this season IMO and are worth a look.

Jericho struggles IMO, certainly once it gets a few episodes in.
Got to episode 5 or so before passing on it.

i do believe Channel 6 has the rights to it in Ireland

Here is the complete 24 scheduling:

It looks like we'll be playing catch-up for the first three weeks, until we get to a point where we're six days behind the US broadcast.

Season six opens on Fox like this:

    Sunday 14th January - Episodes 1 and 2
    Monday 15th January - Episodes 3 and 4
    Monday 22nd January - Episode 5
    Monday 29th January - Episode 6
    Monday 5th February - Episode 7

It opens like this on Sky One:

    Sunday 21st January - Episodes 1 and 2
    Sunday 28th January - Episodes 3 and 4
    Sunday 4th February - Episodes 5 and 6
    Sunday 11th February - Episode 7

My Name Is Earl is on TV3 also AFAIK. But I think I am wrong about that. No only on Channel 6.

I am sure that RTE have plans to show plenty of these shows after Prime Time.

Justice, Boston Legal etc all coming back Late Night only on RTE.
