Creative questions

I'm very much a Creative person - I'm not into the whole iPod frenzy so I'd just like to ask a few questions.

    1) My brother just got the Creative Zen Vision : M and I'd like to get him some sort of accesory for it for his birthday. I'm thinking the AV cable but does this allow you to play the music on the tv as well? If not, could anyone suggest some sort of cable to connect the Zen Vision: M to a hi-fi or cd player, so that he can play the music through some sort of speaker? Or should I just get speakers for him, and if so which ones? Thanks.

    2) When do you think Creative will release a new model..kind of an update for the creative zen vision : m? Because I'd like to get one myself, except there's some disadvantages to the model that I don't like. Like the fact that you have to carry the dongle around if you want to charge it in a friends house, or connect it via the AV cable. Also, the screen is very small etc. etc. Do you think they'll release a new model soon?

    Cheers

    1) Yes, the AV cable it allows you to play music through your TV (or stereo) as well as playing video files on the TV.

    2) It's hard to tell when they'll release a newer model but most likely it won't be this year. If you think a 2.5" screen is small on a hand-held player, then perhaps you should be looking at a more dedicated video player like an Archos or Cowon A2.

Thanks for your reply! I've looked at a couple of Archos models but the ones I've seen are pretty big (wide) models, yet the screen isn't as big as it possibly cold be, which is annoying. Besides, I've heard the supported video formats on archos models are tedious. I think I'll wait! After all, I do have a Creative Zen Touch which works just fine, even if it doesnt play videos. Thanks for the reply! My first question was the main one! Cheers

if you're looking for good video quality, try a PSP. i know it's a games machine but it's got a really nice widescreen on it.
