Logitech mouse problem

I have a logitech LX7 wireless mouse and it was been working fine
today i installed a D-Link dwl-g510 wireless adaptor and this has caused
    some weirdness with the mouse.

When i try and double click and icon to open something nothing happens
i have figured out that the mouse is double clicking on a single click because when i single click and icon in the system tray it opens the program.

Also i went to mouse settings in control panel and enabled click lock, this resolved the issue for the most part ffrom what i've tested the onlt thing i had issue with then was double clicking a name in msn messenger to start a conversation.

Edit: Ok so the weirdness continues - all is working as it should be, i plugged in another wirelss mouse and it worked ok, to do this i had to plug out the wireless receiver for teh logitech mouse to free a port for the other mouse. I then disconnected the other mouse but i didnt plug in the wireless receiver (i forgot ) no the mouse works using the receiver for my logitech keyboard (bought seperately a while ago,) this is iniatially what i wanted to do when i got the mouse so i wouldnt have to use 2 receivers as both devices where logitech,

I have reinsalled the setpoint software and defaulted the settings but this did not fix the issue, im about to uninstall the dlink wireless card to see if this helps but obviously that isnt a solution i want.

    Anyone have any ideas?????
