Having done a highly scientific experiment I can confidently offer you €14. But I have small hands.

€9.60 which gives me a 1% edge (based on one handful)

Define 'random' and 'handful' in the context of this problem.

Delete the accidental 's' in the title...

and then, to be pertinacity, can you tell if u mean euro coints.

I'd offer you a euro and then go from there.

actually, if your hands weren't fully clenched.. ie: you left about 1/4 of an inch open between each finger I might offer €16

Id say a handfull is about 16 coins, if its entirely random then any coin is as likely as another (which means size wont play a part).

there are 8 denominations of coins

    2euro
    1euro
    50cent
    20cent
    10cent
    5cent
    2cent
    1cent

so on average you will get €7.76

Suppose I'd pay €10. Should be able to grab a profit from that.

Any coin is as likely as another, true.
But the amount (a handful) should vary with the size.
Theres more coins in a handful of pennys than a handful of euro.
I'd say you'd get more than 16. Get out you change at home and give it a whirl

I had 20 coins (all I could find) and my hand wasn't full and as specified already I have small hands. I think most people can probably hold 40+.

Also I have 28 Fitz and other chips in my hand right now. Not stacked, I mixed them up a bit on the bed and then picked them up with one hand. And they are much bigger than coins.

Well, I just raided the change jar and got over 60 coins worth a little over €13.50 (I didn't do an exact count). There isn't anything over 50 cents in there either.
