Yes Congrats.....Joe is the name. I'm gonna go Thursday and play in the other games going on as well.

Hey, it was 74 suited...gimme a break! LOL.

Had KK, when you raised....when you took so long I figured you had AK and I am glad you folded, because an A would have come.

CYA there or maybe sooner in town...I'll buy the first pint....

    Congrats.

    It was 99 + 4 rebuy....there were 51 runners....there were $10 smaller tourneys for this....with rebuys there were 3 places, so about 25 rebuys.

Poker and pints Joe to the last eh!;) , mine's a Kronenbourg.

That reminds me it's the 2nd time in recent months that 74 has made me come a cropper, it knocked me out of my only previous major event last March in Paris, I was 1 away from final table, short stacked in the big blind with pocket 3s and the small blind raised me with of all things 74, I had to call as the big blind was nearly half my stack anyway, the bugger hits a 7 to knock me out.

I didn't have AK btw - I had JJ - I think I was always going to fold em but I had to take a few moments for it to sink in that what looked good at 1st wasn't good enough.

If anybody interested in how we get on I'll do a tournament report on my poker site www.firbolg.com, if I happen to get knocked out early  that might turn out to be a report on the bars of Edinburgh instead.:p

BTW betraying my ignorance here, but when the event is a Double chance freezeout, does that mean if u get busted out u have the option to pay another £1k for 1 rebuy?

I doubt it with just over 2 weeks to it now, don't see any tourney listed on their site for it.

    XLLNT....Kronenburg it is!

So I think it is a rebuy(PPP showed 1 rebuy); Poker Pages just says double chance(I don't think it will be the double chance where you don't rebuy and just get half chips at start and the rest after the first hand). I'll just plpay it as a freezout...no interest in rebuying...plus I'll be using my BR for the other tourney's during the week...gonna do the 250NL on thurs and 100PL on fri.

BTW, i think you need to register 24hrs ahead of time. Go online and register.

PPP will register you for the event and its a double chance, 1k buy-in and you get 1/2 your chips and than can take your other half at any time. Thats what it says on the website.

Yep its double chance as opposed to Rebuy so you do not have to pay any reg cash as you won your entry and reg.
