Pub Gigs, Need Advice !

:) Hey, I've just finished my finals and need cash- whilst I've played hundreds of gigs, they've always been my own stuff/specific organised concerts events etc. I recently put together a cool little set of covers etc with with a female singer/Mandolin/Piano player.

So basically It's Myself on the Guitar and singing, with A female singer /mandolin player-and Pianist if there is a Piano on hand!

Where do we go from here? Make a CD and send it around to a few bars? Is there an agency for this kind of stuff? I know Harry's Piano bar and the Viper room have Piano's, should I just go in and give a cd, or is there a more porfessional way of getting a gig! Yeah, I know, I'm a sell out!;)
I'd be greatful for any advice!
    Cheers :)

By all means have CDs ready but with bars they really don't care. Get business cards to give Bar Managers and maybe get a website to give agencies (doesnt have to be anything flashy).

There's always work for small duos especially if you cover a good range of stuff.

Email all the agencies to touch base, give them website address, phone number and quick paragraph about what you do. Don't discuss money til they ask and have your rock bottom price in your head at all times (in many cases you'll have to ask for more just to get haggled down to what you want)

    Just network really :D

Cheers for the advice, have a few gigs lined up! What would you consider "Rock Bottom" price for a duo, couple of hours pub work!???
I'd be happy with 80 quid each, so 160...is that too much, too little. I play in an orchestra and get at the very least 100 a go...but I'm not sure about pubs etc! Cheers!
