What an exciting match?? Fair play to Louth. great performance. Seán Cavanagh had an outstanding game yet louth won their fair share in midfield. While Louth could of settled the game it was Tyrone who looked like winning in the final minutes.

Just back from the match, what a nervous end with me being a Louth man
Tyrone had the better of the 2nd half of extra time, louth were great in the first period of extra time
2 bad louth slip ups for the goals conceded, myself i thought it was all over when the goals went in for Tyrone just before half time
Great gutsy second half performance by Louth ,makes me wonder even more what happened to us in the second half against Meath
Even though Tyrone have a few injuries on the squad,i think the have gone back a bit compared to their All ireland winning team last year
Roll on the replay, at least the Wee County are in the championship for another week and restored some pride in the red of Louth this afternoon .

I feel a bit sorry for Tyrone, once again they haven't been given the best chance to defend their All-Ireland title. Plagued by injuries, and as soon as Stephen O'Neill comes back, Brian Dooher's out. (Does anyone know if O'Neill is likely to be back for the replay by the way?) Tyrone at full strength are a class act (when they decide to play football rather than streetfighting that is) and I'd love to see them going hammer and tongs for 2 in a row.

Having said that, Louth had players out injured on Saturday too, and they were, in a word, excellent. A fantastic comeback, and to do that against the All-Ireland champions shows not only great footballing talent, but great mental strength as well. Both teams can take credit for providing us with the game of the championship so far.

I can't wait till the replay; people say the stronger team overall usually wins the replay, and I reckon Tyrone will be favourites again going in, but somehow after Saturday I don't think Louth will pay too much heed to that. It's just too bad that the loser's out for the year, I'd love to see both these teams having an extended run for different reasons. But that's football I guess, and hopefully it'll make for another great clash :D

Great game of ball, best of the year so far imo. I think Tyrone's experience told in the end when Louth just couldnt hold on to possession and there looked like being only one winner, although in saying that Tyrone kicked some bad wides near the end.

O'Neill will be a big loss for Tyrone for the replay and Louth are in with a decent chance, although with the game being back in Omagh, i reckon Tyrone will have just too much for them.

I also think the fact that the replay is back in Omagh will help Tyrone to overcome Louth.

No matter how good a panel of players is they still cannot account for missing players like Canavan, McGuigan, O'Neill, Dooher to name a few.

I am not trying to be patronising or condecending to them but Fair play to Louth for putting it up to Tyrone. I really thought they would get beaten well. If Louth were a little bit more clever with their kick-outs in the second half of extra time they could have won it - i.e. have short kick-outs to retain possesion rather than booting it down the field where Cavanagh was collecting most of the ball.

Should the reply not be played at a neutral ground to make it fair for Louth since they lost their home advantage.

They chose to play it at Navan as they felt that their county grounds, i.e. Drogheda, was not large enough to accomodate the expected crowd. If I am not mistaken Drogheda can only take 7,000.

So in essence the match between Louth and Tyrone was a "home" match for Louth.
