Surfing problems.

Since yesterday morning I've had problems surfing on my PC. When I click on a bookmark the page often doesn't load. Instead it does nothing, no page loading, no error message. I usually need to click on the same link about 5 times before it works and then when it does I often don't get any images as though I was connecting with a 56k modem and the page was loading bit by bit.

I have no problems uploading, downloading or pinging HTTP addresses.

I'm pretty sure that the problem wasn't present 2 days ago.
I have the problem with both Firefox and IE 6.
I don't have the same problem on my laptop which is connected via wifi to the same ADSL modem as my PC.

Running McAfee antivirus and Windows Antispyware (Defender)

Any ideas as to what I can try besides a system restore?

You could try a few other of the anti-spyware programs Spybot or Ad-Aware and give those a try, try clearing the Cache also in the browsers options. Thats all I can think of right now. Any idea if there are any issues with your ISP, tried contacting them maybe?
