You don't have to do the theory test for the car if you've already done the bike one, it's the same.

To get a class added to your provisional you fill in the form and send it back along with your old licence. Same thing when you have a full licence and pass your test in another class. I already had my full car licence when I passed my bike test, when adding on the bike they didn't need a fee or new photos, but this was ten years ago! You could give the local motor tax office to check for sure.

In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

You can, although I think you have to be 18. You'll be restricted to 25KW or 33hp. Some heavy bikes with more power like the african twin would be ok too because of the power to weight ratio. Do a search for power to weight ratio and you'll see some guys have explained it well here a while ago.

Ok, a provisional A will be restricted to 33hp no matter how long you have it. Once you get your full A then you will still have to ride restricted for 2 years. My restriction will be gone in december :)
