    Is there the possibility for a living will under irish law ?
    The ones that stipulate DNR ( Do Not Resusictate ) in certain circumstances ?
    Can a person insist on a DNR on themselves while or before they are in critical care ?

    Yes, it's called an enduring power of attorney under the power of attorney act 1996. http://www.irishstatutebook.ie/ZZA12Y1996.html

    Basically allows someone to make personal care decisions and manage your property if you're incapacitated.

    Re: K (I think, might be wrong, hate these cases denominated by a letter) case states that there is a right to refuse medical treatment, court ordered person disconnected from life support after satisfied from evidence that person would not want to be kept alive in such circumstances.
