From Desktop PCs, to notebooks to game consoles, from Plasma TVs to LCD screens what was the best technology product so far this year, in your opinion?

I would be voting (if there was one) for either a Tom Tom (Satellite navigation for cars) or for the Sky HD box, both of which are new products are are rated highly by those who use them.

Think both of these were out in 2005. Car navigation was def out before 2004 anyway.

Completely agree, but they haven't really caught on with Techno buyers like myself, I have seen some fo the early ones and they were pure junk, the new ones seem ok, I might pick one up next time I'm in the UK or stateside. I have a rule of not buying things like that here as you will be ripped off and sold one that breaks two hours after taking it out of the box and you get nothing back this side of the small claims court.

I was watching Sky News this morning and there was a product on it that Caches the Internet on a HD, they reckon that around 40GB can contain everything that you might be likely to request minus the spam and pop-ups. It claims to be competing with the Mobile Internet providers like 3G services and Wi-Fi etc. The idea being you recharge it with relevant up to date data from your Broadband PC and take it with you. It is also applicable through a Memory Card on to the new fangled mobile phones. I presume it will be joining:- VHS, Betamax, Sinclair C5 and other useless inventions. Might be handy for us in the sticks with a Broadband due date of 12th/Never/9999999.

So were many things. B&W Tv, vinyl, tape cassettes. etc. Everything has it's moment.
