Hit me. What are the essentials, what are the usefuls, what is overlooked etc.

    Thankye

    EDIT:
Should I bring a sleeping bag? It's one of those really small ones. Takes up hardly any space.

    Should I bring a jumper?

OK what I brought to Thailand for 4 weeks (continued on after to Oz etc)

    7 T-Shirts
    2 Pairs of Shorts
    1 pair of jeans
    1 pair of combats
    jox+sox
    wash kit
    tiny sleepiong bag
    Moz repellant
    Towel
    Runners
    1 pair of flip flops

Thats about it.. Anything i needed, I picked up. like 10 t shirts for like 20 quid. Spare shorts, fisherman trousers Dont need to bring a huge amount of things. My rucksack was like 11kgs till i arrived in Sydney

    hey,

i didn't bring a sleeping bag. there'll be clothes on most beds that you sleep on and if not it'll be warm enough to just lie there anyway.

bring minimum stuff. i.e. 2 boxers, 2 socks. you'll be wearing shorts practically all the time so you won't need underwear. and you'll rarely wear socks. even at nightime. flip flops are the only way to go...

you cannot pack lightly enough. i got advice from someone to bring as little as possible and i did that and it was still too much.

bring 2 t-shirts cause you'll end up buying shorts, t-shirts and even runners on kao san road in bangkok, probably your first port of call.

anyway, have fun. i'm sure you will. tis a great place..

    k.
