    Dell have been selling AMD processors for ages. Just not in their systems.

    Probably part of a supply agreement with Intel. i.e. "We'll give u great prices on Intel chips, as long as you only use Intel in your manufacturing".

    I say they'll move to AMD in a couple of years. But that might depend on how much a hit Conroe has on AMD sales.

    i personally thought this was to counter amd's court case against intel(look, we sell all sorts of processors, not just intels)
