hi all, i want to complete my new build by getting the perfect case. i was recommended this, and a few others but this seems like my perfect case:

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=320138

    this is my built:

samsung 19" widescreen lcd syncmaster 940bw
    asus P5LD2 DELUXE motherbaord
    asus EAX1600PRO graphics card 512mb
    2 x 1gb sticks of RAM
    Intel Pentium D 930
    samsung dual layer dvd writer
    seagate 300gb hd
    seagate 200gb hd
    external memcard reader
    standard webcam
350w PSU(might change to a higher watt rate though)

just wondering if anyone can lend me their view on weather this is a good case and if my build will sit nicely with it and work ok, i am not good with this kind of thing as software is my field. thanks for any help i receive.

If you have a super-high budget for the perfect case, I'd reccommend giving these guys a look-over.

ive seen the NZXT case and its really stunning to look at , and its big enough to fit bulky pc parts into it, dont bother with the acryilic cases my friends had constant probs with them

Yeah very cool case, got good reviews too, I was looking to get that very one for my build but I wanted to order all parts from komplett and it wasn't on their stock list at the time. I went with this:

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=311887

and I'm really happy with it loads of room!

I would increase your power supply though, to 500 if you can, just makes life easier to expand your system later and it won't be pushed to its limit in this build.:)

thanks for the replies. i think ill end up going for this one. it has 4 fans plus i have an extra one i got so ill have 5 fans, it has temp display and is quite big. it being bigger will allow for air to circulate better and the temp should stay that bit lower. plus the finish on it is nice

as for the psu, ive only 2 days left here so i am going to try my best to change it to i higher wattage. bretttp1 i think i will go for the 500watt as you said as like you mentioned if i want to expand in the future it should give me some leway.

ill let ye know how it looks when i get home and build my new system. cant wait to try it out.

    thanks again for your replies.

that looks sweet. sweeeeeeeeeeeeet indeed. im sure the price will to ha ha. hey just wondering. i was seeing if i could find the NZXT case cheaper in ireland than komplett and came across this:

    http://www.fashion.ie/PCHardware-572238-B000DENQPY-NZXT_Lexa_BlackSilver_Aluminum_ATX_Mid_Tower_Case_with_Clear_Side_Front_USB_FireWire_and_Audio_Ports_and_500_Watt_Power_Supply.html

now if you look at the 2 of them you can see they are the same but you get the
500watt psu included with the one from fashion(what a messed up named site by the way) and it is 5o odd euros ccheaper. can that be legitimate???? has anyone ever used this site before. its a hell of a deal compared to komplett and if the site is ok ill definately go with it, especially since it includes a 500watt psu.

I have the case that you were looking at first its swet

The fans are all 120mm so its alot quieter

Also theres no screws, even inserting the harddrives and CD DVD drives its a sweet setup and the built in case lighting & LCD display at the top looks amazing

Best case ive ever hadAlso you can lock the case to prevent anyone getting access, wouldn't stop somebody if they really wanted to but its a nice deterrent.

The xbox silver model ftw. I hate tacky cases, I'm sure they're cool when you're 11 and you want your bedroom to look like a spaceship.

Looks like this site just points you to other sites. In this case (excuse the pun :) ), when you add it to your cart and checkout, it redirects you to Amazon so you'll end up paying a lot in Delivery charges.

Since your already spending in the High end of the scale i would recomend this case

    http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=308923

I have worked with one on an install for a mate was very nice and looks pretty cool too, the only prob is it's very heavy so would not be good for lugging around.

Also if your spending good money I would recommend that you buy a 7600gt rather than an x1600pro there's only about €20 in the diff and the graphics quality is far superior.

Re PSU get a 450-500w for it, if you can get one of the modular cabling ones like the antec neo 430 do coz it will save a load of heartache when cable tidying.
