Ms Outlook e-mail problem

I have a problem with Ms Outlook when sending e-mail.

Normally, when I compose a message and then press send, the message goes into my outbox, and shows in bold italics.

For some strange reason, some of the messages I send, change to bold text, Don't show in italics and actually stay in my outbox. The only way to send them is to click on them and then click 'forward' whereby they'll go without any problem.

This happens at random, with different addresses. Often a mail won't send to a receipient today, but tomorrow it will go without a problem. Also, some of the messages will leave the outbox, some won't.

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Techno

Try this to find out what's going on? Also, if you have an email in the outbox waiting to go and then you edit it, it won't go until you send again.

Do you have Outlook up-to-date? There are several service packs for MS Office and many other patches - if you go to the Windows Update website and install Microsoft Update it should find all the relevant updates.

Which version of outlook are you running?

Quite often a scanpst and compress the mailfile should fix these problems.

Thanks for your help with this. Web site seems to be a good one. Nothing to do with editing though. Turn on computer, write messages, one or two of the messages stay in outbox but the others I've written go without a problem!

Thanks for taking the time to reply!

It's a Laptop computer, less than a year old and I've updated all I can find!
