    Hi all,
I just installed my first computer component(NEC dvd writer) and just for the sake of it decided to open up my old computer and see if anything valuable was inside. I found a 128mb ram module (infineon pc-100) as well as an ancient 16mb 3dfx voodoo 3 card!
Could i add this RAM module to my current computer which already has 1 512mb pc2100 module in it for a bit of a performance boost?
Would it even work in my mobo(Gigabyte GA-8SIMLH)?!

    Thanks

    The motherboard you mentioned takes:

    # Type: DDR333(PC2700)/DDR266(PC2100) - 184pin
    # Max capacity: Up to 2GB by 2 DIMM slots

It would be a lot easier if all ram was the same type wouldnt it? :) Of course not for the ram manufacturers.
