    Hi Justinoval,

I'm afraid not, as you know type 2 is aircooled, this is the 76 lt28, watercooled 2litre audi 100 engine based camper, much bigger than the type 2,s.

Scrapping it in 2-3 weeks ( hammond lane ) if there are no takers. Unfortunately constant attempts to sell my 1965 6 volt beetle, complete for 250 euros, logbook ect, failed . So i am in the process of scrapping that as well, strange as it may seem.

65 beetle is a basket case, not for the faint hearted. I took the engine out of it last week, and I am going to break the rest.

I will post pics as soon as i can.
The beetle was on the southernvolks website for sale some time ago, no takers. Pics may stil be there

I'd be very interested in towing away the VW camper. Any pics. Dont scrap her yet. Got a runtime farmhouse in the middle of nowhere where i could park her.

    Hi,

Thanks for the interest guys, rest assured I wont send it for scrapping, as I'd prefer to see some one getting use from it.

At the moment I have 2 people in line from the boards. One from laoise ( K )who is to view it the week end, and one from Athlone ( S) who is also to view the weekend. So thats the order at the moment.

So if none of these take it, its will be up for offer.

Beetle. Very interesting. Is it driveible? (before you removed the engine)

Where in the country are you?
I might also want front axle parts- trailing arms and K&L carriers, steering box.

  • Moderators, Home & Garden Moderators Posts: 5,126 Mod ✭✭✭✭kadman

It drove into the garden where it is now, about 2 years ago. Body is extremely bad. i removed the engine about 2 weeks ago, steering wheel, switches ect.

All the wheels are on , hubs, axle, gearbox ect. Untouched. back bonnet removed. Doors and all glass still in.

Bring a trailer, take the lot, make me an offer

No it wont drive to cork:D :D:D

I don't think I can do it, no time, no space.
I found the pics and TBH it looks like a break it for ebay job :( ,
my offer for the rear axles (without brakes) still stands. :)
