A couple of weeks ago I went to Munich to visit a friend.
The Emergenza Finals were while I was there so I took my 350D to get band's shots.
The whole event went perfect, great bands, nice lighting, pretty happy with the results.
Next 24th the irish finals will take place in Vicar St. I might go there too.

2nd ones a really cool shot, the blue lighting gives of a great athmosphere, not overly keen on the actual picture in the 3rd one but i love the way youv caught the lighting, nice

    Thank you for your comments.
Looking forward to see the bands in Vicar Street. The level shown in Munich was really impressive, from hard-rock to ska, was really nice to see new bands with so much talent.
    Highly recommended.

Third'd. Especially love the lighting and the 'hands in the air' framing on the third one.

    Well done!

Excellent shots. Well done! They look very professional, could easily grace a cd booklet.

A couple of other strings are talking about taking shots of gigs at the moment. What are the specs on your shots?

    What focal length?
    What aperture?
    What shutter speed?
    What ISO?

They seem really sharp for the available light. I'd love know the details.

All of them shot at ISO 1600. Lens used: Canon 24-70 2.8 and Canon 70-200 2.8 IS. L glass gives great sharpness.

    1st: Focal lenght 24mm, f2.8, 1/160s
    2nd: Focal lenght 70mm, f2.8, 1/30s
    3rd: Focal lenght 75mm, f2.8, 1/250s

I always shot in RAW, processed with Apple's Aperture. Photoshop used just to add frame, signature and save for the web.

The lighting was excellent, hope to see the same in Vicar Street.

I did, with the help of a friend, I don't know anything about javascript.
I like to keep things simple, in a photography portfolio less is more in my opinion.

very good shots and i imagine it has to be difficult with all the lighting to capture the movement etc.
    well done

I agree that the third one reminds me of the Foo Fighters and I like the way you've captured the lighting. They are really good shots, I'm very jealous!

I was at one of the Emergenza semi finals and will be there for that band on the 24th too. One of my pics was used on the Emergenza site which I think is pretty cool.

(higher res image attached, perhaps not one of my best, but it was used because of the logo..)
