Civil Service Question

    Just wondering if any one could help me re a civil service question. I worked for the civil service on a permanent full time position for 2years and resigned about 18 months ago to work for a private company which has just goin belly up anyway I have been offered a 6 month temporary role with civil service in the same position that I had orginally again but it is at the standard entry grade 1 pay.

    My question is because I worked in this position already I got 2 increments in wages because of the 2yr service that I have done already .

    I recall a circular knocking around that says you can claim for past service ie.. so I can go back to my original wage grade 3 or what ever.

    Does anyone know of this circular or can they point me in the right direction?
