My own place is not quite as bad as that

I have three dishes One for 13/19 East one for 42 East and a smaller one for 28 east

You speak Turkish or is there something else on 42E (feeds?) that I don't know about?

Myself I only speak English but I live in a multilingual household ! (Makes for cheaper rent !)

Hence my interest in satellite TV without actually watching much TV

Theres a small amount of English programming on Turksat but its all either Godbotherers or ads for holidays/property

Having said that It can be quite interesting watching some the English language programming from various countries on Hotbird.

Apparently there are dishes that will get 13-42 East on one dish but theyre hard to find and fiddly to setup

Should get slightly more than that arc, actually. Torodial/Cassegrain/Gregorian dishes - all the same thing effectively. Uses a secondary reflector and a wider "focus" on the dish in the first place.

Maybe he hasn't heard yet about motorised systems.

Motorised dishes can be noisy + theres a delay when swiching between channels on different satellites

Unless you want a very large number of satellites multi LNB is a far better setup
