    Hi, I was just wondering does anyone know what the limitations of the Bohr model of the atom was appart from him not knowing the wave partical duality or the heisinburg uncertainty principal? Thanks.

    he claimed electrons in a shell had fixed enegry levels
    and were equedistant from the nucleus

    also his explanation for energy levels only held for Hydrogen, the others needed sublevels to be explained properly, cos they had lots of close lines in their spectra, not just single colours, like in Hydrogen

    He didnt incorporate the wave-motion of the electron. he didnt account for the fact that you can't measure the velocity and position of an electron at the same time <<<Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. Hope that helps :)
