My passport is looking pretty bad. Its stained and the edges of the page with the photo on it are beginning seperate.

Just wondering if anyone here has been denied travelling because passport was wrecked?

Leaving Ireland they don't really care, but I've nearly been stopped twice coming back from France and Spain due to tattered looking passport. Best not take any risks.

I got a lovely silver one in Pennys for 2€ not sure if it would be to your taste but I love it.

Mine was going like that but I glued down the edges with superglue. The trick is to put a tiny bt of glu on the paper side put the plastic down and rub straight away with a tea towel or something mine came up perfect and will now save me 80€

well my old one was held together mainly by sellotape, chewing gum, pocket fluff and whatever else got stuck to it. Was never denied entry to a country but did get funny looks at times. This was though before 9/11 so don't know if a lot of places, particularly the states would be too happy letting me in with it now.

Got stopped a couple of times,,

Once going through from Oz to NZ he said it was a bit shabby and double checked it.

Once or twice in Namibia, Botswana. But more because they rarely see Irish passports.

Fairly much if its fringed at the edges some officers can get a bit antsy...

If you're passport is in bit of a bad way ryanair are the strictest and most fussiestpeople to be deadling with, would't allow a friend of mine on, reason being if he entered another country and they stopped him because of his passport ryanair claim they're finned heafty for allowing that passinger through and waisting their time

Gave mine the old aerial spin and dry in Boston and got home ok. But why not just change if in doubt?
