What am I missing about this hand?
Should I merge it to the BB/brag sticky?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭Ste05

LOL this guy mustn't have that much respect for you there HJ,

Limp, raise, re-raise, then he flat calls OOP with AJo, then his pot bet is followed by yet another re-raise All-In and he thinks his pair of J's are good... How often will he see 104o here, LMAO!!!

And then this tremendous 9:1 suck-out, you gotta love it. I won't ask what you were doing but I'd say this guy is on the mother of All Tilts right now!!!

he went mental in the chat for a while, but played ULTRA tight afterwards which was funny. I kept hoping hed get another bad beat but it never happened.

This hand is funny enough to deserve its own thread. Plus I'm sure we could discuss the AJ call or something.
Nah, I think we should just lol a little.

Ecksor asked for my thoughtss, well I was just aware that his raising frequency was too high, but he didnt seem to be too mental. So i was just waiting for a good spot to reraise him and take his money.

This was a good spot because his raise was bigger than normal (so more money and probably a worse hand) and there was a limper. Also I had position whih makes it easier to play post flop, against someone like this I prefer to be in position.

Then the flop comes and he leads, he is never leading there with a big hand, in fact he should never lead if he plans on calling all in from a 1 hand game theory perspective, I thought he could fold a hand like AJ KJ 99 or so on, obv I was wrong.

I broke two rules which I normally wouldnt, I like to have some sort of hand preflop before reraising, even if its suited or connected in some way, and I also dont make big flop bluffs with no outs. But alls well that ends well!

OT question, but are you switching Tribeca sites to change your name or are you able to request a name change from support on your current site?

great hand! AJ deserves every beat it takes... just thinking about it. how often does AJ win in monster pots? unless of course the board reads TQK. but in cash games, if the pot is over 100BBs.. AJ, even as TPTK in a re-raising battle is nearly always a dog, as proved by this post. (unless of course 5starpool is in the hand.. different rules apply then!)

ps: I did something similar with 34o yesterday. I got called and I lost $420.

What made u think he'd fold, after calling a reraise pre and front betting flop that amount? Dont answer! Rhetorical question!! well earned pot obv  Is my $1 on Poland for them not to qualify? :)

There must be something wrong with AJ, same thing happened me about 2 weeks ago. I raise a J55 board and villian goes all in with 66, i call. He manages to runner runner a flush with one club in his hand! Never playing AJ again!

Excellent demonstration of fold equity - as we know, that's the only way to take down a pot with 104o. Take note guys, this should is abc poker at its purest. OK, so the villain got lucky on the flop but he paid for his recklessness in the end. :D
Hahahh, I think I seen you dish out another beat to festival again today, I was looking for a table to sit at and he was calling you a pr1ck. The hand history showed you hit a K on the river with AK to his QQ. I wonder is he going to go on a month long tilt now......

he gave me a bit of abuse last night, it went a bit like this

    festival: ffs wtf
    festival: you retard
    hj: ty
festival: you prick etc etc on and on for about 10 mins, culminating in him telling me hes coming to dublin to beat me up; mainly for saying ty

then today were playing, I make it 30 utg with AKs. He makes it 50 more, I make it 200 more. He pushes, I call. He has QQ. Flop is 255, turn 5, river K

    hj: ty
