The processing of the shot is perfect! Great colors, good focus, excellent contrast so well done on that. The only critic I can give on this picture is that your subject is in the centre of the shot but that's only because I wanted to say at least something constructive  The depth of field is spot on as well, so overall a great shot.

I'm getting like a parrot now... next time you want to post a photo for critique, read the sticky.

hey Rymus, you must be tired chasing around after everyone over the C&Cs..whats the bet each new poster does the same thing. Guarantee loads of people dont read the charter right away. If lots of new people start posting all of your time will be taken up on this issue alone, cant really blame them too much though but after a while i can see it getting right up you...Maybe rename the sticy to Rules to be followed when posting photos for critique or something similar...

As for the pic itself, its fine, if you had of caught the bird in flight either taking off or landing it could of made it into a class capture. Definitely could do with cropping out the unnecessary details too.

I'm working on the basis of an amnesty for the introduction of a new policy for a while. If someone has posted photos before and posts again without following the guidelines, no harm no foul....

In a few weeks, when I expect all the regulars will have at least glanced over it and any new user will have the sense to have a quick look the whole thing will get a little more pro-active.

sounds reasonable, no excuse for regulars to be doing it as its only there to help. Just noticed i finally broke the 100 posts, its about time - the joys of being bored in work...
