What are the biggest race events/festivals in Ireland for both crowd numbers and importance within the industry?

It really depends on how to define biggest. For festivals Punchestown followed by Leopardstown at Christmas are probably the biggest in terms of quality of racing however in terms of attendance Galway would come close to Punchestown in size.

On the flat the 5 classics plus the Champion stakes are probably the major races.
Over sticks the Punchestown Gold cup, the champion hurdle, Lexus, Grand National would be the main ones.

Which meetings would be the biggest or highest profile to people actually operating in the industry?
