    Hi Folks,

Just thought I would share some (expensive) experiences I have had with MAXdata, or more importantly their sole UK/Ireland distributors 'Active Computing'.

I tried to purchase a laptop battery replacment for a MAXdata 1000t laptop.
I rang MAXdata uk, they gave me the number of 'active computing'

I am a computer reseller myslef so I expected a fairly reasonable price from the supplier.
Anyway whenever I enquired about the trade price I was told the replacment battery was £155 sterling, plus £45 sterling for shipping????(obviously going to be flown over and hand delivered at that price).
So to replace a battery in a sub €1000 laptop, is nearly €300
    Rip off

Needless to say, I didnt get the battery and I will never look at maxdata again
    Steve
