I have a 4mp camera but the pics are far to big is there a program that will convert them all to 1mp or 640*480

will i lose any quaility by resizing? (i dont want to zoom on them)

By resizing you will reduce the resolution - no way around that one.

It depends what you want to resize them for. Most people keep a large one for printing, and a small one - as you say 640x480, for web use. I think there are various methods of resizing through windows and various apps but I just literally use the 'image size' box in photoshop, then 'save for web' and tweak it until it's about 70-80k. HTH...

    hey,

im presuming that you have xp? if you have click on this link

    http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

scroll down a little and on the right hand sight click on the application called image resizer. install it and then when you right click on any photo you will have an option to resize the photo. i think it is the easiest way to resize photos.

you can resize photos in batch, like hundreds at a time. when you do resize you create a copy of the old image so you never loose the originals size and can also choose different sizes: large 20okb, medium 100kb and small 50kb or there abouts. it obviously depends on the photo at hand. hope this helps, if you have any questions just ask

    paul:)
