sending mail probs

    every time i try and send mail well 50% of the time i comes up with
    Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject:
    Sent: 14/06/2006 11:22

    The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'bla@bla.ie' on 14/06/2006 11:22
    550 must be authenticated

    'bla@bla.ie' on 14/06/2006 11:22
    550 must be authenticated

    or
    Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

    Subject:
    Sent: 13/06/2006 13:15

    The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

    'bla@bla.ie' on 13/06/2006 13:15
    553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)

    i know some of the time its actually lying and the mail goes through as the person responds to my mail but why am i getting these messages in the first place .

    the first quote is a new message that just up today for the first time the second is a often occuring msg that comes from eircom servers .

    Error 553:

    This error is caused for one of two reasons:
    1. You are attempting to send email to a domain that is not recognized by this server
    2. You are attempting to relay email through this server, and have not authenticated

    Error 550 is similiar. What smtp server are you using? And what ISP are you conencted with? (Eircom, IBB, BT, etc).
