We usually met up somewhere on the southside and head out for a scenic spin, stop off somewhere along the way for refreshments and finally a game of 'catch the Dino' up the M50 :)
Its only for a few hours so plenty of time afterwards for the regular sunday jobs....

    Guys,

Sorry, Sunday 18th is the date. We normally only stay out for about two and a half hours ....after that my visa runs out!! Andreas, D20 and Alfarocks will testify that we go out in all weathers!! You will be home by 2:30 to 3:00 easy so no excuses. Dubtom, looking forward to seeing that Mustang again!

BMWs are welcome, no marques excluded, we had a nice 2002 Turbo (not TI) out on the first run.

Andreas bring the torch to check out my new toy!!!!

See you all there, hail, rain or shine

    Beanderb4.

The meeting venue is the Spawell Car Park on the Tallaght Bypass. 11:45 is the time, leaving at 12:00. It will be a run across the mountains to Powerscourt, heading home via the M50 to give the cars a proper blast.

    MercMad,

Come on down with that Merc 280 SE Coupe and I'll match you with my '68 Merc 280 SE Coupe!!!!

Eric, by the way, if you come along the M50 take the Tallaght Exit and head in the direction of the City Centre. As you are driving down you will see the Spawell Leisure complex on your left. You will come to a roundabout, just turn left there and the entrance is on your left hand side. You can't miss it.

Sorry about the no show lads, my Mustang has a window washer problem,ie, it doesn't, so rain or muggy roads and traffic = blindness.I'll try and make the next one.

I was disappointed I couldn't make it, I live in the estate in behind the graveyard acoss the road from the Spawell, but training between 11 and around 1 put a stop to me coming to see peoples cars. I'll try make it someday, who went?

That's the spirit, try running 8 miles in shorts and t-shirt in that weather

Bah !! Fair weather drivers, driving in the rain is the best way to test your waxoyl :)

5 of us turned up, by the time we left for Powerscourt the rain had stopped to was'nt a bad drive at all. What could be better then a bunch of rwd left hookers fish-tailing up a hill...

Met up with an original Irish (70's ??) Alfa spider in fantastic condition at Powerscourt.

:D i used to do that, and then some ***** nicked my car and trashed it, so now i take my new one out anytime i can

    pic_a038_01.jpg
also these tyres in the wet make for an interesting drive!!

anybody got pics from yesterday? i was stuck in a 10mile tailback coming from cork after a horrific accident in tipp :(

    Lads,

Dubtom there is no need to apologise for not turning up. The idea is just to go with whoever turns up - nobody is tied into it.

You missed a nice drive out across the mountains to Powerscourt. Just the Mustang slowed us down - not being able to get that American lump of metal around bends, particularly on damp roads.

The sun was shining by the time we got out there.

Next Trip is 2nd July. Lets meet in the Spawell again. It has plenty of space and it gives lots of options for heading out from there. Meet at 11:45 and we'll leave at noon. And hey, lets put petrol (or veggie oil) in the cars before we meet and we'll head straight out.

PM me if you are coming along and I'll send you my mobile no just in case you are late joining us or get lost along the way - particulalry useful if you are driving behing Alfarocks as he tends to like to go his own way!!!!!

See you in two weeks :D
