2 great memories, seeing blur/supergrass/happy mondays all play on the same night at the rds in 95 and the following year seeing radiohead and massive attack play the same venue.

Other fun memories consist of drinking a bottle of peach snaps while at "the big day out in Galway" and blacking out for most of the gig. Woke up on the wrong coach home and had to get off and make my own way back to Dublin. Upon arrival home I realised that I had got my ear pierced twice and was wearing a press back stage pass around my neck. I assume I had a great time.

Also discovering fun things to do with girls tits was a high point.

emm... really just gigs is all I can think of, mustn't have done much else during the 90's. Crowd surfing at a therapy gig was fun but I got a bit of a battering off the security so that cancelled out the fun bit really.
The 94 world cup was good too, we beat the greasy Italians.

One last thing, a show on MTV featuring “Eddie” and that dope Zane. With features such as pants win prizes and the wall of mullets that show was always going to be a winner.

The early 1990's and in particular 1990 was all about the Rave scene and the Madchester scene.

1990 for those who were smart and in the know was the year of Madchester/baggy ,26 inch flares with baggy tops and floppy hats superb the single best fashion look of all time :)

Music wise legendary bands like The Happy Mondays, The Stone Roses, etc reigned supreme not to mention the Acid House sound/Bleep Tekno and early House music that was around, the scene was still very underground in Ireland and fresh (unlike today :( ) and i took my first E in 1990 when they were imposssible to come by and cost (if you could get them) 25 IEP but it was one of the best feelings ive had in my life, back then (unlike the crappy pills you get today) you were taking real ecstasy i remember being in the (in)famous Sides (RIP) in Dame St the first and best ever dance club in Ireland and being so loved up dancing to Acid House amazing.

The rest of the early 1990's were tough going as there was fu*k all work to be got here but i still had a great time :D

Up For It, I think it was called, with the wall of mullets being as hilarious as it was horrific.

I remember they had a competition to find the most bizarre addresses in the UK/Ireland(to which they would sent on a prize)somebody actually wrote in from the Mullet Peninsula...well it was competition over really.

Ahhhh - someone from my era!! Sides was an amazing place and far too short lived....

Some of my favourite memories of the 90's are definitely the early 90's - The Inspiral Carpets gig in McGonnagles - Rave nights in the Ormond Multimedia Centre on Ormond Quay - E before it was crap - they were the days!

Wasn´t a great decade musically or filmwise or anything. Proudest moment was perhaps the reunification in late 89 in Germany. Best memory is definitely when the lawyer said: "You´re a free man again - your divorce is through"!!!:D

December 98 first time i fell in love, best feeling ever, even if he did break my heart in 1999. I wanted to bottle the feelgood feeling forever!

I was 12 in 1990 so I was old enough to be aware of the Madchester/Acid House thing but obviously too young to be part of it. But even looking from afar, it seemed so brilliant. Sir Henrys in Cork was supposed to have been the business. Was so jealous of my brothers and their mates going there. After that, nothing of interest happened in the 90s. In fact, the 90s sucked. Britpop was putrid. Wish I could have been born 10 years earlier to be honest...

SHUT UP SHUT UP!!!! :(;) Sick of old men of rave reminding me of what the scene was like years ago compared to now. :) Biggest regret of my life was being born in 1986 rather than 76. Ah the early 90s- the dance scene, Dublins rave clubs, every few months of 1992-94 a new classic album being turned out of the US West Coast or New York (Chronic, Doggystyle, 36 Chambers, Illmatic, Ready to Die). Sure nobody had a job, but it seems that back then young uns were happier blowing half their dole money on an e and dancing til 6am in the Asylum and Sides. I was only 8 or 9 back at the height of it, but I remember my cousin (29 odd now) having flyers from these venues on his bedroom wall. Closest I ever got to it was giving it socks to the Madchester Experience back at Oxegen 04.

What does my generation have eh. Overpriced nightclubs that like saying not tonight lads to anyone over 21.

I dunno what was my 90s moment. Watchin the 1990/94 world cups with the oul lad probably, the whole atmosphere in Ireland when we were in it was great. Suppose it was even more electric than the 2002 finals because it was only our first and second times, the old underdogs had finally made it.

Ireland beating Romania in the world cup 1990 is one of my favourite but there are a few more.

If you had been born in '76 you'd still have missed out on the best years of the Acid House era sadly. Late 60s/early 70s birth ftw! Ideal. I'm a late 70s baby and there has been nothing of interest to happen in my life either. Hate that Sandi Thom song, but I know what she means. No interesting counter-cultural movement has occurred in her lifetime/memory. Nothing since Acid House and I doubt there will be ever again.
