So I'm thinking of buying this macbook. Is 1 gb of memory enough (I hope so)? I'll be using it for standard enough stuff like wordprocessing and web browsing plus some webdesign work.

Sheesh, some guys have build issues, and that's enough to discourage EVERYONE from coming towards the Light Side?

To the OP: As much RAM as you can afford is the right amount, that said my iBook G3 900MHz with 640MB has served me well in many projects including web design with PS, DW and MS Office and digital photography..

On the other issue, that would stop me from buying a MacBook - at least the white one anyway ! Those pictures look awful, not what would instill confidence in me. Maybe I'll go for the black one instead.
