Need a new suit for an upcoming wedding. Would be nice if I could get one that would double as a business suit.

Where's the best place in Dublin to buy a nice suit ? Would you be talking mega-bucks to get one tailor made ? Kinda like the idea of having one made to measure but don't want to have to re-mortgage the house. :)

John Taylor if you want a really good suit . If your buying partially for the brand hit BTs

sorry for hijacking the thread but does anyone know the average you would pay in Louis Copeland. I know it depends greatly upon brand etc but is it worth the bit extra to go somewhere like L.C

Arnotts and Diffney are not bad, some nice Hilfiger suits out these days, nice cut and all, bit pricey though, basically you pay for what you get

If you go with Louis Copeland - try the Capel Street branch. Ask for a chap there called Pat Conboy. I've dealt with him twice & he's a real gent. He thinks outside the box & will get you a good deal.

First dealt with him in 2000 & went back 2 years later for another suit & he remembered my name. Now that's someone who knows his customer service!

Marks and Spencers are not bad for suits. A jacket cost from €100 and up. Still not cheap but good quality.

Brown Thomas, or theres actually a shop just opposite burger king on grafton, that does some killer Cerruti suits at a reasonable price. Forgot the name of it :p

I'd say anywhere from €350 - €1,200 for Copelands' suits

One advantage of that shop is that they'll actually tell you what type of suit goes with your build, height etc. instead of just trying to sell you any old thing.

There will not be much difference in price weather you go to copelands, diffney, john taylor, etc
b lynch on camden street is another good family run shop and has some nice stuff also

Ye can get decent suits in Arnotts bargain basement for 60 euro!

But yer not allowed mix the sizes, but that rule stand everywere

Also, suit trousers are gammy, a pair of bootcut trousers would look well better
