i'm trying to lay a bet which seems to have a lot of money behind it but my bets dont get matched i am equaling the odds available.

also if you lay the first scorer in a match and there is no scorer or you lay the top scorer for a team in the league and the team doesn't score do you win?

You may need to leave it unmatched for quite some time before you get to top of pecking order and someone backs it. There is no guarantee you will ever get it matched by just offering a price. If you want to be guaranteed of getting it matched you will need to use the pink lay column for a staright lay bet.:)

Because there is so much money on the odds your laying at your put in a cue. When all the people who layed the same price before you have had their bet match you'll be next. If you want to guarantee getting matched just increment your odds a notch and it should be matched almost instantly.

On the first scorer question, if the player participates for any amount of time in the match and doesn't score you'll get your money on the lay.

Also, it's worth knowing that if a player is substituted on at some point in the game it's only from that point on the bet counts. i.e. if there's already been goals scored it doesnt matter as he wasn't on the pitch, so effectively it's now next goalscorer.

Would this not be classed as a No Bet, or is there such a thing as a no bet on Betfair??

Yep, It's no bet, basically the player is treated as a non runner.

Ah good, I'm just starting to get into Betfair now, but this sounded mad.

    Cheers for that.
