Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lots of excitement in Enniskerry! Who pays for the damage?

A MAN was stabbed and another person was attacked with a baseball bat as a wedding reception erupted into violence last night.

Five people in total were injured during the brawl, which began as up to 150 guests were attending a Traveller's wedding at Summerhill House Hotel in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow.

Trouble flared shortly before 11.30pm after four men began fighting outside the hotel.

As other guests left the reception, the numbers involved in the fighting increased with a baseball bat and hurley sticks being used in the attack.

One man was injured when he was struck on the head with a baseball bat, another was stabbed by a fellow guest and a third needed hospital treatment after falling about 30ft after jumping over a wall. A woman was also believed to be among those hurt.

A total of 29 gardai were called in to deal with the trouble from stations as far away as Donnybrook in Dublin.

The injured were taken to St Vincent's Hospital but none were believed to be critical.

Hee hee, I was at a wedding there a while ago, the bride will be furious when she finds out as she chose the hotel because she thought it "doesn't accept riff-raff" :)
