a load of cobblers. what was the reason? screen burn? that's an old problem with much older plasmas and there is no way that a hd ready plasma with a xbox 360 delivering hd output would cause problems to the tv

yeah there is a risk of screenburn if you for example leave a game menu screen on for a couple of hours, its also advise that if you do buy a new Plasma, to keep contrast down low for the first 150 hours of use, and you should be ok after that. Problem with LCD is dead pixels, they wreck my head, bought a Toshiba 32" couple of months back, didn't notice dead pixel until I hooked up the 360 and then it stuck out like a sore thumb and my eyes were immediately drawn to it every time I started up the set.

Pros & Cons for both technologies

You'll see no problems. Enable the screen saver option on the 360 to be sure.

I am am wondering something similar. I bought the 32" lcd that xtravision had, and it there was alot of streaking when I played the PS2. I dont mind that much as its at my parents house. I am buying at 42" plasma for myself, and I have a 360. I am now very worried that the 42" plasma I get will also have streaking or somethine else equally as bad when I play it.

    Any comments ?

The thing is it doesn't look like that tv has an HDMI input which you really need to be ready for the future of movies and game consoles!

no but it does have a DVI input, isnt it the same but slighty not as good? (because you need a seperate audio input)

i read the manual on the Plasma and it doesn't say anything about images burning, infact it say you can hook up a console to it so im guessing yes.

it can also be used as a PC moniter, wouldnt that be ok,
seen as a pc mite be left on at the desktop for ages, and for playing games
