how to xtract a .nrg files contents?

    An .nrg file is similar to an .iso. I can't burn this image file to a cd disk though as the .nrg file is 704mb in size and nero is having none of it :mad:
    I don't have any dvds either.

    I tried opening up the file with ISOBuster but didn't work either. Does anyone have a sure fire way to open up the .nrg file so i can extract the contents of the file to the desktop?

    dunno if alcohol 120% supposrts nrgs but u can mount images onto a virtual dvd/cd rom drive to view its contents...try that maybe

    I've got a virtual clone drive, very handy for mounting iso's so that the pc reconises them as a cd/dvd.

    I have the Slysoft one which can be found here, pretty sure its free to.

    It does what i expect it to do i'm sure there are other program that do the same and more.

    Have you installed the Nero ImageDrive utility that came with Nero? That should be able to mount it easy enough.

    i tried doing this earlier and tried just now again but i don't quite know what i'm meant to be doing. I opened up 120%, selected the virtual device option, browsed to the nrg file and selected the option to mount on the H: drive and then i get a kernel error. What exactly do i need to do to mount the image file and to view it's contents.

    While i'm posting this though, 120% is burning the nrg to disk....Nero wouldn't do it earlier....hopefully it works!
