I'm pretty certain ddr2 ram is for intel chips only, could wrong though?

edit: sorry I was thinking of socket 939 chips

I part advised on this build, so it looks pretty good to me. Wouldn't have chosen that monitor myself (because of the very high native resolution) and I'm not sure about cl4 ram (though I know nothing about ddr2).

The other thing (for me) is that I would have gotten the 3800+ X2 with a decent cooler and overclocked to 4400+ levels. Zoro's a big girl though. ;)

The RAM should be fine, AM2 uses DDR2. I'm with Khannie on the monitor thing though, that's a fairly large screen to be running off a single 7900. Maybe if you dropped it down to a 19/20" and put the extra money towards a 7900GTX?

Whats the difference between that and 2xthis?

I'm against spending > 400 euro on a graphics card personally. I just think that those last few fps really cost you a lot of extra money.

    Re Ram, Mobo & GC

Due to high freq of ddr6400 & amd's hypertransport cl4 is fine not much point buying lower cl at the minute due to higher pricing unless your planning to overclock the bejaysus out of it.

One thing of note is that the nvidia 570 on your MSI will not support the EPP overclock setting only the 590 chipset does at the mo.

If you buy a 590 based mobo, with that ram and a second 7900gt you will be able to use the auto o/c which can give a 15-25% boost and should not invalidate your warranty.
