    Hi guys,
I purchaes a flight from knock to london on july 23rd i actually found out now that i cant make that weekend. so the flight only cost 16 euro or something like that so no harm, but i had a look at seeing how much to change the flight to another day with same inward and outbound costs....
70 euro it was costing me!
i know thats how they make their money and all that, but i would actually like to cancel that flight and give someone the opportunity of booking it again, but i dont seem to be able to do this?

also as the main cost ofthe flight was the taxes should i be able to get this money back?

    just wondering

You can claim back the taxes but they charge an administration fee to do it so you won't get anything.

Yeah I think you can get the taxes back, but in the end it including admin fee you wont get a whole lot. I think thats the way it is anyway. If you have a friend, get them to pay for the name change thing and use them maybe?

I wouldn't worry. They don't tend to cancel bookings - you just don't turn up and they have your money. If someone else turns up and wants to book the seat, it's a bonus for them - but if you don't travel, they're still making money.

As for the refund. If it's a low value booking, the admin fee will probably wipe out the benefit of claiming a refund.
