    Mornin',

I am looking for a piece of software to allow me to sync files between my desktop and laptop so that if I update files on my desktop, they will automatically update them on my laptop when I connect to my network and vise versa. I have tried using "my briefcase" but it is a little temperamental  Anyone any suggestions?

    Thanks

    John

    SyncToy from Micro$soft?

Or setup offline files and use one common folder then sync with that?

    http://www.laplink.com/

I used to use that before home networking was an option, have no idea what it's like now.

    Best,
    Pete

Not a bother, use the offline files bit myself, backups on a Linux server running Samba and never needs a restart... :)
