A quick request here: I need an online mail order printer in the UK or Ireland that will do OK quality 10"X12"s reasonably priced and dispatch the order without an invoice or any indication of how much the printing cost - for an event photos project I'm thinking on setting up.
Basically a printer where I submit images online using software/web, they print the 10X12's (or simular) and send them to the customer in the post.
    Any advice?
I've been using Bonusprint with two years now with great results, but no matter how I ask them they won't dispatch without enclosing an invoice - which is a pity, I'd be willing to pay an extra few quid just for this!
Any advice would be great. Also, any of you with experience doing event photography (not weddings, more car racing etc etc) if you have any advice?
    Thanks.

why do they have be online, why not go to a local store and fix a good price with them if you're doing a lot of work they should offer you a cheap price and give you any sort of invoice you require

Because all the local shops are *really* crap, overcharge, and use crappy matte paper.
Also it'd be so much more effecient to just have to order online and get them sent straight out.

    then use www.photobox.ie

But do they send out without an invoice!!??
They aren't very cheap - bonus print are an awful lot better value..

afaik, they send the invoice to the billing address, so if you are sending prints to someone else, but billing yourself then you will get the invoice.

    I always thought they were cheap enough - 9 - 15c for a 6 x 4.5 seems cheap enough. Excellent service too

    Bonusprint are 15c for a 5 X 7 though, and only 99c for a 10 X 12! Their prices keep going down, it's incredible!

What's the deal with the invoice ? You wan tto be able to charge customer more ? Why don't you just repackage them. You send them online and once you receive, open up take out invoice and repackage them with stamps on the front and either leave unfranked or draw a line throught the stamps - surely a no brainer or am i missing something here ? i.e YOU be the printer !

I'll second them on quality grounds.

It's been a while since I actually got anything delivered from them, so I can't remember offhand whether they include an invoice. However, I ordered some large prints (panos composed into poster size for cropping) at the weekend, which are due to ship today, so I'll be able to confirm in a few days time.

They do allow you to enter a separate delivery address however, so I'd assume they'll send the invoice/receipt to the billing address in that case. Have a look at their FAQs or send them an email.

    John
