Watch those kick stands

Just a bit of a heads up guys ;)

Since the past few days have been very hot the tarmac has gotten nice and soft. So when you park your bike up for the day (maybe outside work) watch that you keep an eye on the kick stand. Because of the soft ground and pressure from the weight of the bike your kickstand might actually go into the ground slightly.

This happened to me a couple of times this week whilst I was parked in the direct sun. I noticed a half inch hole in some cases.

Your bike could easily fall over if the stand becomes unbalanced.

Best thing to do is park on concrete or out of the shade.

A flattened coke can, or a thing called a plate mate (available in all good bike shops €2:D ) will do the trick. And on muddy ground when it rains... which it will tomorrow Im told
