To be interupted by CrimeCall, Bank Holiday Movies, Prime Time Investigates and Irish Miniserials as much as possible. We could have put it on Sunday nights at 9:30 while ER is of the air or put it on monday nights on RTE TWO while LOST is off the air. Instead we have choosen to put it on during LOST to be "complemtary".

    Well Done RTE

okay maybe it is a bad idea to put csi back on its original time slot. why not put it on tuesday night on rte two cause desperate housewifes is ending or are they going to put prison break there.

Prison Break will be on Tuesdays

I think CSI will do okay at 9.30. At the smae time its good counter programming against Lost as people who haven't watched Lost before now ain't going to watch it until the start of season 3.
Plus CSI is your standard procedural drama. Everything is wrapped up neately in the end and it easier to follow.
Lost starts at 10.15 CSi is almost over anyway.

Why is lost starting at 10:15?
Because of the soccer, of course. (sorry )
But the soccer won't always be there.

It could easily replace lost during the summer on monday nights, I think that would make more sense and allow RTE ONE put their monthly shows on Monday nights as usual.

Also their is no reason why CSI could not go out at 9pm on RTE Two perhaps before LOST and before I start making sense.

    Next Season on RTE Two

    Jan - June
    9:00 SCRUBS
    9:30 Irish Comedy Series
    10:00 LOST

    June - Dec
    9:00 CSI
    10:00 24

    Just a thought

See Lost is as I have said a straight forward procedural. It has a beginning and end and no lingering plot threads that stretch into the next episode like lost fir example.

RTE can just plug it into any whole they have in the schedule. They also realise that some people may have seen newer episodes on Liiving TV

I do feel soory for real CSI fans having thier show thrown all around the schedule but people follow that show everywhere it goes if you look at the ratings.

    I

thank you for feeling sorry for us but i'm okay as i have seen all of season five and the most of season six but its the other fans in ireland who get pissed off cause rte keep shifting and changing and it kinda annoying that more emphsis is put on csi miami and not las vegas

I find most digital services annoying as I never know when new episodes are on because they repeat them so often.

I find that you can get lost in CSI with some plots which run from one episode to another which I like but generally never find out what happened because RTE swap the show around too much.

RTE really need to give CSI: Las Vegas a definate time slot once and for all.

not going to happen unless they get a sponser.

    A sponsor for CSI mmmmm

I some how don't think that would be hard if any of the series where given a definate time slot.

but have you notice with shows like lost and desperate housewifes and er. the all have sponsers and great time slots. i have just seen the last 8 eppys of season six of csi and they are all good except for the season finale BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RTE seem to have missed the point that a primt time show in a prime time slot = Viewers, and Viewers = Advertising Revenue.
they seem to take the same haphazzard approach to Advertising as everything else, pity cause at least the yanks can realise how important it is. do you know how much some stations get for 30 seconds druing the superbowl, probably more than rte 1 and 2 in a month.they have to start tying everything up, too many lose ends.

what have RTÉ got to do with what The Sun prints. it is now up to the viewing public to watch CSI in its original slot to keep it there

The viewing public have been watching in its orginal time slot of Monday Nights on RTE One, but it RTE who keep messing about with it. They will always have something to put on instend of it on a monday night. E.g. The August Bank Holiday Weekend.

as far as I can see CSI series 8 is not being repeated on RTE2 or and other channel at the moment - it will probably show on Living TV in the near future.

    hth..
