Compatibility and all that aside... wot shud I be lookin for when I'm buying these (Processor/ Motherboard) for a new pc. Looking for SATA support on the hard board for a certainty. Budget of €800 to €1000 combined for these two components

    Cheers

If you're not already sorted out for RAM, or could be looking to add more, why not try out one of Komplett's upgrade kits? Pretty good value for the most part, and compatability guaranteed.

Depends on what you want really from a motherboard - there's a lot of extras available on the higher-end ones these days, e.g. some form of hardware firewall, 2 NICs, decent sound, FireWire, RAID, and so on.

Just have a look through komplett and compare boards/cpu's.

Tbh it's the best way as no one will know what you want except you.

get amd 64,cpu, plus board with compatible socket for cpu, with sata, 6 usb, and 5.1 or 7.1 dolby sound on the motherboard,amd64 cheaper and faster than intel cpus,in my opinion .
