    Hi there,
There are about 50 computers in my office, and about 10 of them won't work the www.google.ie site properly. Basically the iternet broswer freezes. All other internet sites seem, to work fine.
I've tried different browsers, and the same issue occurs. I just can't figure out whats wrong.
Has anyone come acorss this problem before?
Would it be a javascript issue?
Or would it be somethign to do with the graphics card or the graphics card drivers?
    Any thoughts are much appreciated.
    Later.

The Google main page should work fine without JavaScript at all - heck, it even works in plain text browsers. Do you use a proxy server or anything? Have you checked these PC's for spyware, and are all the windows updates up-to-date?

It could be a problematic hardware firewall / router.

I've had one pricy firewall in the office that allowed some clients to work perfectly, while others would fail consistently on particular sites; even when ip's or leads switched / Operating system win 2K, XP or linux / clients wget, IE, firefox etc.

Pages would be delivered in part, but packets got lost and connection wouldn't close.

Any laptops among them, to try same site through dialup or alternative router? I assume that none are wireless connected, and its not a low cost consumer router (saw a recent linksys with this problem on wireless only connections)?

Steps I took, after usual malware checks, while debugging mine were:
    Different browsers
    Different user login
Try using site through linux bootable cd like knoppix.
Try switching network cable/switch port with working machine
Try switching IP with working machine
Try machine through alternative connection, dialup or external
    Try switching XP QOS on/off
    Add an alternative NIC
Settings on firewall to block activex/js etc, switch on, switch off.
Used NAT mapping so all traffic from that machine appeared to arrive from it's own IP. Not running short of ideas at all...

But you've probably tried most of these yourself. Don't think we can be of much help unless some possibilities are removed.
