Liveline Funny Friday, does anyone in their right mind listen....

Liveline is bad enough most of the time, a few decent callers surrounded by cranks, However this funny friday is the last straw.

Is it any wonder that RTE Radio is less and less relevent to the majority of the country?

What's even more annoying is that Joe Duffy clearly enjoys it so much. Why can't he just go for a pint with them after and not subject us all to the inane crap?

I actually think that it can have its place, but only on certain occassions. For example, say one issue has dominated the news for one week, perhaps it hasm by Friday, become a little ludicrous (something like Saipan, say) - well then there is a place for a little light relief on the Friday.

But every Friday - too much.

Totally agree that 'funny Friday' on liveline. Total crap. I NEVER listen to it. Does anyone? Love Joe and the rest of the show but not FF.

Kind of amusing to see that this thread is seven years old and Funny Friday is as dreadful now as it was then - actually worse, because the unfunny auld hacks on it long since ran out of material (after the first five minutes ).
