Wireless keyboard

    I don't know if anyone tried this, but I just thought I share anyway just in case.

    I plugged in my Creative wireless keyboard into my Xb360 the other day and it worked instantly, no configuration, no waiting, it was like I was using a wired keyboard.

    I can send messages , control the dashboard and do everything. Only restrictions are that the keyboard doesn't have the equivilant of the big "X" button.

    Does this work with any keyboard or just a wireless keyboard.

    I can't speak for all wireless keyboards, but my Creative works. Most USB wired keyboards seem to work.

    the 360 has FULL usb/wireless support for ALL keyboards, although my wireless one has worked since launch, the dash update made the rest of them ocmpatible apprently. Now all we need for the next dash update, Is a UI for mouse :p and hopefully keyboard/mouse support for fps games :) but prolly wont ever happen. :mad:

    One of the big wigs in MS said that they added the keyboard compatability for MMOs and the dashboard as an easier way to type messages etc. He then said it would never be made compatable with shooters, I'll have a root around and see if I can find the article

    Edit: Found it one gamespot
    We also asked Chris Satchell, the General Manager of XNA at Microsoft if we could possibly connect a USB keyboard to the 360. He told us that, "we will allow you to plug in a USB keyboard. It's very useful for the text entry. What we're not enabling it for, we're not enabling it for gameplay." So the keyboard is a go for text entry, but a no-go for game control.
