Nice pc but the 6800XT will let it down a bit.

Have you no parts in your pc you can move over and add to your budget for the GPU?

Also i got 3 6800GTs off ebay for about €80 each its the next one up from the XT.

And if you intend to go SLI that PSU wont cut it (the XT doesnt have a power connector for the fan so not a problem with that pc or any other just SLI with gpus that need power), well it may but turning it on would be the moment you find that out....god bless my Bequeit 450 and hope all is well in PSU heaven.

i could probably reduce the keyboard a bit.

How "bad" is the 6800xt though?

Its not bad sold my bro one about 2 weeks ago gets 100 FPS on med to high Bf2 settings. He has similiar spec to you but with p4. Just your pc is decent so adding in a better GPU would be a better option if your budget allows.

Ah right. Hmm. /gets sign "will work for graphics card"
and on the PSu side i don;t intend on using SLI. Well not in the near future so i think i'm fine in that sense.

    thanks for the feedback though

I think the 7600GT is the gfx card of choice for the mid range gamer.

I'm planning on going for that card myself, but If I can pick up a 6800gt on ebay cheaply, I will go for it.

Get the 7600gt, its cheaper and better and more efficient and cooler than the 6800gt..........
