Not sure I get this one, fold? If hes semi bluffing here he deserves the pot more than you.

Surely he cant expect me to bet the turn v.often .....

    Is it not suspicious?

on tribeca if someone bets the flop they will usually continue betting on every street, so most players will assume thats what others do.

I dont think this line is paticularly suspicous, It is odd though and I would expect to see a semi bluff or two pair /set if the hand gets showdown. Im still folding though, I dont think its a profitable spot to continue in even if you are probably slightly ahead of his range (ie a draw more likely than a real hand).

edit to add, I just saw this wasnt on PPP, so my assumptions for the avg villain are probably off.

    Fold
unless you have a great read on this chap we should be thinking set Q8 AQ 67clubs Q3c etc
I dont think your often enough ahead and i feel you are going to see a harder call on the river if player is any good

For that particular reason of getting check raised I would not bet the turn after my flop bet was called.
You may offer be giving him a free card here to fill his flush but then again I would not pay off a flush.

As the hand was played out though I think fold is the best option.
If you call you will have to call at least a hlaf-pot bet on the river not really knowing where you are.

Finally the title of a song I like, wp Fuzzbox:D . I think you have to fold here.

I can't see why he'd check raise here on a bluff unless he's a total idiot or very aggressive. I'd bet your hand the same way and view the check raise as a sign for me to get away from the hand cheaply.
I don't see why you say he wouldn't expect you to bet the turn very often. It's an unraised pot and he has check called the flop, I'm nearly always betting the turn with top pair.

    I called,
The turn was a non-diamond, and he bet 175 and I called that too.

    He showed me KdJd.

I have to start playing on Party. I hardly ever see that line on Tribeca, not nearly enough to make calling the turn +EV anway.

From what Ive picked up from Fuzzbox I think the play is fishier on Tribeca than Party at $3 $6

I don't know but I lodged $400 dollars into party a few weeks ago to find out. I haven't really played much but it seems pretty bad there to me. Did you see any of the lolotrickedu threads on 2+2, the guy who's 10-tabling 10/20 and is the biggest winner on the site. He posted up one thread where he showed sample hands and it looked very fishy - and this is at 10/20.

    Here's the thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=5810407&an=&page=&vc=1

I'm going to try and get in about 6 hours a week on party over the next week or two to find out how bad the standard is.
