I'm doing a small bit of web site stiff and has happily working away with dreamweaver on my pc with lcd monitor and everything looked fine and dandy. Only when i viewed the webiste on a normal crt monitor at 1024x768 did i realise that i had made it for my lcd's monitor's resolution of 1280x1024.

Setting the lcd monitor resoultion down to 1024x768 makes everything, not just the website, look fuzzy and out of focus, especially text. is there anything i can change to make it as clear as it would appear clearer as it does on a crt monitor so i can scale it properly?

I don't think so, LCD's are designed to run at a native resolution in your case 1280x1024 they using a scaling mechanism to manage resolutions which aren't native, the downside of this is it can produce fuzzy or blurred images.

Most newer generation LCD displays are a lot better at countering the effect when not running at the native resolution but I think if it bothers you that much then keep a CRT handy or invest in a newer LCD display though it will never be totally free of this kind of thing.
