Old motor oil. What to with it?

Hello, I wonder what to do with 4 litres of dirty motor oil I drained from the MG. Is it alright in Ireland to simply take it back to the petrol station or Halfords and the deal with it?

    Thanks

Local dumps take it for free as far as I know.

Yep, your local "civic amenity" site will take it, get on to your council for location.
